In this trying time of the coronavirus crisis, online gaming company Betway’s care has come in handy for Uganda in different capacities.

Sports in Uganda has been muted for now almost 40 days ever since President Yoweri Museveni announced the initial directives of a lockdown on March 18.

Uganda’s leading online gaming company Betway has received applause after its recent donation of 3.3 tonnes of rice to the government in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The Nile Stout Rugby League would be coming to a wrap this weekend with the Betway Kobs set to visit Buffaloes at Kyadondo. But that is not the case because of the coronavirus pandemic which has forced suspension of sports events in the country since March 18.

Leading sports betting provider Betway has contributed 3,300 kilograms of rice to help assist those hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation is part of Betway’s commitment to giving back to the country it calls home.
