The Baggies won automatic promotion back to England's top-flight after finishing the 2019/20 EFL Championship season in second spot behind Leeds United.

Leicester finished in fifth place last season with back-to-back defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the final two rounds of the season pushing the club out of the UEFA Champions League spots.

Jamie Vardy walked away with a first golden boot award after netting 23 times in the Premier League and Rodgers has also been able to keep hold of his star players while adding Timothy Castagne to a growing list of Belgium internationals at King Power Stadium.

“Now, the mood is great. The mood was great last season, but everybody is very much looking forward to it,” Bilic told Premier League World.

“It’s not that somebody has given us a wildcard to join them - no, we deserve it. They earned it, through a very difficult season.

“You have to invest a lot of effort and sacrifice a lot to get the chance - that’s why it’s called the Premier League."
