Betway Kobs maintained their lead at the top of the log in the National Sevens Series with third-place finish at the Rujumba Sevens over the weekend.
For the first time this season, the Blue Army left a circuit without the trophy and only managed to finish third.
They defeated Jinja Hippos 21-05 in the bronze medal match to collect 17 points and add to their tally in the title race.
Kobs had earlier lost their first game of the season as they slipped 14-21 against Pirates in the semifinal.
The Legends outfit attempted a comeback after going down 21-00 but it was too little too late.
With the 17 points from Kings Park, Kobs improved their tally to 83 points and are six points ahead of second-placed Pirates with two circuits to go.
Pirates beat Heathens 21-19 to win a closely contested final and claim their maiden circuit.
Timothy Kisiga got a brace while Conrad Wanyama added one of his own to give Bobby Musinguzi victory on home ground.
Next on the cards are the Kigezi Sevens this weekend in Kabale and Kobs will have their focus on bouncing back to get back to the finals and lift the trophy.
From Kabale, the climax will be at Legends with Coronation Sevens as the last piece of action this season.
