Southampton will play host to Tottenham Hotspur in an
English Premier League match at the St Mary's Stadium on January 1.
This will be the 42nd meeting between the two teams in the English Premier League era.

Eric Dier, the Tottenham defender-cum-midfielder, is keen to help his side secure a top-four finish in the English Premier League.
"Every year I feel like we’re breaking down barriers and this year I hope we do the same," Dier said.
“We have the chance to do that in the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and in the Premier League, where we have a great challenge to get into the top four and we’re embracing that.”
Southampton are looking to retain their status in the English Premier League for the eighth year running.
Danny Ings, who is Saints' first-choice striker, will be eager to play an instrumental role in helping his side overcome Tottenham.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are looking to go all the way and clinch their maiden English Premier League title this season.
Spurs' star player is Harry Kane, who is one of the best strikers in world football at the moment.
