Express add Otim to goalkeeping department

Express FC started their rebuilding from the back with the announcement of Cryspus Kusiima as their first acquisition in the transfer window.

Two days later, another goalkeeper was announced at the club.

Wasswa Bbosa's charges confirmed the capture of Uganda Hippos goalkeeper Denis Otim.

Formerly at Mbarara City, the 20 year old joins the Red Eagles on a four year deal as the club look to start a new chapter of getting back to their glory days.

“I have joined the Red Eagles because it’s a big club in the country and I expect to use it as a spring board to further my career.” Otim told the club website upon arrival.

Otim was part of the 2019 Uganda Hippos squad that reached the quarterfinals of the CECAFA U-20 tournament held in Kampala, Uganda.

Otim has previously featured for Mbarara City and also had stints at Vipers and Nyamityobora FC.

Otim, Kusiima and Mathias Muwanga are the three goalkeepers that will be fighting for the number one spot at the club.

Muwanga is the only surviving shot stopper from the previous season as both Tonny Kyamera and Joshua Adea were released by the club.

Having released a big part of the team from last season, the Red Eagles are expected to announce more players as they prepare for the start of the next season.
