2019/20 Premier League
Round 27
22-24 February 2020
London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur will renew their heated rivalry with a clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 22 February 2020, kick-off at 15:30. The match is one of 10 spread from 22 to 24 February for the 27
h round of the
2019/20 Premier League season.
Chelsea’s confidence took a blow on Monday night when they were beaten 2-0 at home by Manchester United. The result leaves the Blues still in fourth place, though they now have Tottenham, Sheffield United and Man United all within striking distance.
“We have a feeling of Groundhog Day, whatever you want to call it. There are footballing things, which get clearer every week,” said manager Frank Lampard. "There's always work to do every day. At the minute, we're fourth and the season starts here. There are things I can criticise; I'm not soft. If we're not going to have productivity to finish, it's very difficult to win games."

Tottenham have put together a run of three straight wins and seven unbeaten across all competitions, with their latest success a 3-2 triumph away to Aston Villa this past weekend in which Son Heung-min scored a last-gasp winner. Spurs now look very much capable of securing Champions League football for next season.
“A team without Harry [Kane] is finding obviously difficulties, the difficulties are the nature of the Premier League, but in the middle of the difficulties we are finding a different way to play football,” explained manager Jose Mourinho. “We are finding a different way to create opportunities and to score enough goals to put ourselves in a position to fight for a good position in the table.”
In head-to-head stats, Chelsea and Tottenham have met in 165 previous matches. The Blues have claimed 71 wins compared to 54 for Spurs, while 40 games have been drawn.
When the teams met in the Premier League earlier this season, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in December 2019, Chelsea claimed a 2-0 win thanks to a brace from Brazilian attacker Willian.
