When the Uganda Rugby Union announced suspension of all their sporting activities, no one was happier than Betway Kobs’ utility back Adrian Kasito.
Having picked up an injury on day two of the 7s Challenger Series first event in Vina Del Mer, Chile with the national team, Kasito has not featured for his side back home.
Out of action since mid-February, he was also ruled out of the mouth-watering clash between Kobs and rivals Black Pirates which was slated for Saturday at King’s Park in Bweyogerere.
“No rugby for 32 days? Adequate time for me to be able to run again..” Kasito tweeted after the union announced the suspension of the league.
Following a directive from president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Wednesday, several sports federations, including the Rugby Union, have had to suspend their activities indefinitely.

The wild spread of the Corona Virus in the world has put most of the sports activities on hold and Ugandans have been urged not to take any chances despite there being no reported case of the pandemic in the country.
“I was worried I would not be involved in my team’s final stage charge towards the title but with the shutdown, I should be back,” the 2018 Betway sportsman of the year said.
Kobs are still second on the ten-team log with 58 points garnered thus far.
Hima Cement Heathens are still top of the log, five points ahead of Kobs with five games to play in the season.
Pirates are third on the log, 10 points behind the Betway-sponsored Kobs.
