When the Uganda Sevens team for the event was named, five players from the Blue Army made the cut and will represent the country this weekend.
Nobert Okeny, the top try scorer in the National Sevens Championship, is the latest Kobs player to make his way into the team.
He joins the more established group of Joseph Aredo, Ian Munyani, Adrian Kasito and Pius Ogena as part of the team to Kenya.
The Safari Sevens are set for this weekend at RFUEA grounds and the 12 players to represent Uganda are already known.
There is a place for wing Solomon Okia who has been out with injury.
Michael Wokorach will continue captaining the team that will be without Philip Wokorach. The talismanic recently embarked on a professional career in France.

Aaron Oforywoth, Desire Ayera, William Nkore, Timothy Odong and Kevin Keremundu are the other players on the team.
Uganda has been part of the Safari Sevens since its inception in 1996. The 2016 & 2017 African champions will be looking to finally lay their hands on the trophy.
