Wasswa Bbosa happy with point off Mbarara City

Mbarara City might not be a force in Ugandan football but they get points on their home ground.

URA FC were the first team to visit Kakyeka this season and only returned to Kampala with a point after a 1-1 draw.

When Express visited on Wednesday, the task was expected to be huge despite coming off a morale boosting 2-1 win over Bright Stars.

And, after a 1-1 draw, Express head coach Wasswa Bbosa was pleased to leave Mbarara with a point.

"Getting a point here (Mbarara) is not bad," Bbosa revealed after the final whistle.

"The game was Ok and we should have killed it off in the first half because we had many chances," he added.

The Red Eagles were the better side in the first half and went ahead through a 23rd minute Godfrey Lwesibawa free-kick.

The game of two halves saw the hosts turn it up in the second half to salvage a point.

Defender Soulyamane Bamba headed in the equaliser in the 77th minute off a corner kick.

"They pinned us a lot using long balls and caused us some problems especially in the second half."

The draw put Express on 5 points from their first three games of the season.

Next on the menu for the Wankulukuku side is a home clash with rivals SC Villa.
