Wasswa Bbosa confident Express will compete

Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa is confident the side will compete with the best teams in the country to win silverware.

When he was confirmed for the position last season, the tactician revealed that he was ready to assemble a team that can win a title within three years.

He is ready to keep his word and believes the coming season will see the club return to the part of the table where it belongs, the top.

"First of all I want to thank management for the support during this COVID-19 period," Bbosa said in an interview with the club media team on Friday.

"We have managed to get all the players we asked for and now it is our job as coaches to get results.

"Our players are in good shape because they have had programs to follow until we start official training," he added.

The Startimes Uganda Premier League is tentatively set to start on December 3 and Bbosa task will be to improve last season's ninth place finish.

Amongst the players recruited by Express is Murushid Jjuko, recently called up for national team duty, and Bbosa believes his experience is what the club needs at the back

"He brings experience to our defence that  now has both young and senior players. Any good team is built from the back and he gives us that leadership."

With all the signings made and a semblance of order off the pitch, the Red Eagles will start the season in a much better shape than they have been in in recent seasons.
