The iconic rivalry has lost its spice in recent seasons with both teams a far cry from the sides that enjoyed huge success in the Premier League under Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger respectively.
United head into this weekend's round of fixtures having yet to win at home this season after a 0-0 draw versus Chelsea in their most recent league outing.
The Red Devils lost to Crystal Palace (1-3) and Tottenham Hotspur (1-6) in their other two fixtures at the venue so far this season and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the club are missing their home supporters.
“If we’d had that stadium and the Stretford End full, we could have created more pressure and more urgency because that was lacking," said Solskjaer after the goalless stalemate.
"You’re here watching the game and it’s a different sport, and with the fans here they help you. We miss them, we have to say. It's the same for all teams, but I think everyone agrees football is a little bit less, the edge has gone. I can’t wait to get the fans back.”

Arsenal have shown glimpses of improvement in recent weeks, but back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Leicester City (both by a 1-0 scoreline) has mounted pressure on Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners dominated most of their meeting at home to the Foxes, but a lack of quality in the final third proved to be their undoing.
"We didn't look as sharp on the ball. We didn't have much purpose on the ball," Arteta told reporters after the match.
"We didn't manage to have enough continuity in our play, we didn't put the ball as often as we could in the box. It's a very harsh result for us considering what happened in the game."

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 1-1 draw with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cancelling out Scott McTominay's opener.
Arsenal will be hoping to register their first win away to an established top-six team in almost six years. The North London club last won a league game at Old Trafford in 2006.
