The Uganda women's volleyball team will be looking to earn a ticket to this year's All Africa Games when they host the Zone 5 Volleyball Championship in Kampala.
Tonny Lakony, the team coach, will challenge his players to win the upcoming CAVB event to get a chance of playing at a bigger stage.
The regional showpiece is scheduled for May 18-25 at the MTN arena in Lugogo.
Each of the seven African zones will produce a winner who will join the hosts Morocco in Rabat for the women’s volleyball event at the 12th All-Africa Games in August.

Astreede Agaaba, Grace Akiror, Saidat Nnungi and Flavia Nandawula are some of the seasoned campaigners preparing for the showpiece.
The bulk of the team was part of the Nkumba University success in the season last year and also featured at the Women's Africa Clubs Championship in Cairo early this year.
Last year's most valuable player Habiba Namala will also have an outing with the team.
Kenya and Egypt will be the major threats for Uganda in their quest for gold.
Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia are also expected to take part in the week-long competition.
