With only Kenya sending riders for the FIM Central Africa Motocross championship over the weekend, only two countries competed at the Uganda Motosport Arena in Busiika.
The home side dominated Kenya in all the classes apart from the MX2 where the visitors' captain Rolf Kihara scooped their only win.
Uganda fielded a big team in all the classes and this helped the side amass 1395 points compared to Kenya's 252.
Team Uganda captain Maxime Van Pee, who had a field day in the MX1 category, believes the lead will help Uganda to clinch the title come November when the team crosses the boarder for the second round.
"It's a fantastic performance from the team and we are all happy with the results," the skipper said.
"We shall now wait for the second round and try to have as many riders as we can to defend the title."
Uganda has won the title in the last five years and will be looking to hold onto it.
Kenya will be expected to field a bigger team on home soil compared to what they managed to send to Kampala. Only nine riders made the trip..
The event also doubled as the third round of the national motocross championship and Van Pee continued with his dominance as he beat his closest rival Asaph Natan in all the three heats.
The Orland brothers Aviv, Stav and Alon swept through their respective classes to maintain the grip on the national accolades.
Heat one was done on Saturday while Sunday had the event climax.
The second and final round of the FIM CAC is scheduled for 6-8th December in Nairobi, Kenya.
