Uganda Sevens draw France in Olympic Qualifier

The Uganda Sevens team has one more shot at qualifying for this year's Olympic Games.

That will be through the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Rugby 7s Repechage to be held in Monaco, France later this year.

On Tuesday afternoon, the draw for the Repechage was held at the Hotel Hermitage in Monaco and Uganda drew among other teams host nation France.

Tolbert Onyango's charges have been drawn in Pool B alongside France, Hong Kong, Chile, and Jamaica.

The tournament is slated for June 19-20 at the Stade Louis II Stadium in Monaco.

Having played at the Rugby Sevens World Cup in 2018, Uganda now have their eyes on joining the elite class at the Olympics.
