Uganda Sevens camp in Jinja


The Uganda men's Sevens team is set for a week-long camp outside Kampala.

The residential camp, the second for the team since the return of sports in the country, will be held in Jinja to help the team prepare for upcoming events.

Uganda Rugby Union revealed the list of the traveling contingent on Sunday and it comprises 15 players and four officials.

Betway Kobs stars Joseph Aredo, Adrian Kasito, Ian Munyani, Nobert Okeny, and Pius Ogena are among the players selected by head coach Tolbert Onyango.

Black Pirates' new signing Solomon Okia, Kelvin Balagadde, Alex Aturinda, Desire Ayera, William Nkore and Isaac Massanganzira are all on the team.

Team captain Michael Wokorach, Aaron Ofoywroth, Levis Ocen, and Byron Oketayot complete the squad.

The first training camp for the team was held in the high altitude Kapchorwa district last month.

The Uganda Sevens have a lot of action lined up later in the year and will start with the Olympic Games Rugby Sevens Repechage tournament in June.
