Nkumba Navy have been a sleeping giant in the last four years but now seem to have bounced back from their slumber.
New additions Umar Hangi, Husein Odome and Jowas Akankwatsa have transformed the team.
In the ladies' category, Nkumba were simply untouchable and cruised to the title by defeating rivals Ndejje in straight sets in the final.
The victory continues to show Nkumba's dominance which has stretched beyond the Ugandan boarders.
Having already lifted the Genocide Memorial tournament and the NSSF KAVC International, the National Championship is the team's thied major trophy this year.
Grace Akiror put up yet another MVP performance while Doreen Akiteng and Saidat Nnungi were the best setter and blocker respectively. Attention will now turn to the league from where the only remaining tickets are.
