Express suffered their sixth defeat in 10 games as they went down 2-1 to visiting Busoga United on a wet and barely playable pitch at the Betway Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Tuesday evening.
Coach George Ssimwogerere like he has preached for most of the season asked fans to remain patient as he seeks to build a winning team.
“I can’t say there’s anything wrong we have been playing and sometimes failing,” Ssimwogerere told reporters after the game.
The pressure sometimes is too much because they are still young most of them. Slowly it will go away with experience and experience isn’t bought they have to get it while playing,”

Frank Kalanda who is now Express’ top scorer with four goals found the back of the net after Daniel Shabena was brought down in the area to level the scores before Boban Zirintusa added the second goal for the visitors.
The Red Eagles then failed to build any momentum despite replacing Mweru Doka with Shafik Avemah. Frank Ssenyondo who was not having a good game was meanwhile taken off in the second half with Ivan Ocholit and Dennis Sserukwaya for Idris Kabonge.
“First of all the conditions of the pitch didn’t allow the players to play such a pitch it’s difficult for us to play and get results the team which scores first wins so the boys tried though they didn’t create a lot of chances but they tried to play on such a pitch.”

The result left Express in 12th position with 10 points from as many games. The Red Eagles will be back in action on Saturday 2nd November away at Wakiso Giants at 3.00pm.
