Leading online betting company Betway Uganda however, have taken it a notch further.
And in a bid to further build the sporting industry Betway is hosting the second edition of the Sports Leadership workshop.
The workshop that is targeting various sports stakeholders in the industry has the development of sports in Uganda at the top of the agenda.
“This is a great opportunity for sports stakeholders to learn, share experience as well as pass on the knowledge to other sports organisations. It is a sign that Betway is committed and serious about making a difference in local sport,” said Betway Country Manager Adellah Agaba Nyaruhuma.
The seminar that will run for two days starting on Tuesday, will be held at Golden Tulip Hotel, Kampala
The private seminar will explore the latest trends in international sport, job opportunities and commercial revenue in sports, Fans engagements, Leveraging and Rights and brand positioning.
This comes at a relevant time when Uganda’s sports industry is on an upward scale with peak performances in various sporting disciplines.
The national football team Cranes will this week make back to back appearances at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The national netball team She Cranes is meanwhile also returning to the World Cup in England following up on the 2015 edition since last appearing in 1979.
With this seminar, Betway intends to achieve improved club management, positioning and eventual sports development all round for extraordinary results.
