Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid will meet for a crunch clash at the Anoeta Stadium in San Sebastian on Tuesday 22 December 2020, kick-off is at 21:45. The match is one of 10 spread over 22-23 December as part of Matchday 15 in the
2020-21 LaLiga season.
Real saw their winless run in LaLiga extended to five matches when they were beaten 2-1 at Levante on December 19. The Basque side claimed the lead through Alexander Isak, but were ultimately outplayed in Valencia.

Txuriurdin coach Imanol Alguacil has pleaded with fans to keep faith in him and the team despite their recent slide in results: "We are the same team as we were a month ago, that team which made everyone fall in love with them, but we've had some important injuries and our results have suffered, but our energy and enthusiasm has not dropped."
Atletico Madrid bounced back from their derby defeat to Real Madrid by trouncing Elche 3-1 at home on December 19, with goals from Luis Suarez (two) and Diego Costa.
"This was a good response after our poor performance last week," said manager Diego Simeone. " There are still aspects we can improve on, but it was good to see our attack find itself and score three goals. We can build on this and move forward."
In head-to-head stats, Sociedad and Atletico have met in 45 matches across all competitions since 1993. The Rojiblancos have claimed 20 wins compared to 17 for the Txuriurdin, while eight games have been drawn.
Sociedad took four points off Atletico last season, winning 2-0 in San Sebastian in September 2019 before a 1-1 draw at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in July 2020 which saw an opener from Koke and a late own goal from Hector Herrera.
