The lengthy suspensions handed out to Betway Power duo Geoffrey Soro and Phillip Ameny left the club left with a thin frontcourt of Brian Sivachi and Libe Makala.
But as that door closed, it just could have opened up a window of opportunity for the latter duo as the club concludes the regular season.
The pair on Wednesday continued to embrace the more minutes granted to them for the third game since the bans were meted out by guiding
Betway Power to a second consecutive victory in the National Basketball League.
Sivachi scored a game high 18 points for the Boniface Okello-coached side and Makala added 15 and 13 rebounds as Betway Power run out 84-75 winners over Ndejje University at YMCA Court on Wednesday evening.
This was in addition to the 30 and 25 points Makala and Sivachi stacked up on Sunday in the 121-62 thrashing of Falcons.
Syrus Kiviiri, who scored 19 points in that game, also chipped in with another 15 points against Ndejje while Amini Mkosa added 10.
Ndejje held a two-point advantage at the half-way break before Betway Power rallied to take the third quarter 28-14.
The fight-back was led by Sivachi who scored half of his 18 points in that period to add to the nine rebounds he had in the 22 minutes on court.
That set up a 12-point cushion going into the final quarter that Betway Power never relinquished to seal victory.
They now stand at 14-6 record with two games to conclude the regular season.
The other game on the evening saw Our Saviour claim their first victory in 19 games this season by taking down playoff chasing Sharing Saints 77-75.
Point guard Davis Assimwe led the bottom placed side with 23 points.
