The Uganda Cranes will play a select side from Eastern Uganda on Saturday in Mbale.
As the team continues to prepare for the double-header clash with Rwanda in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic will use the build up game to have a look at some locally based players.
He has named the team that will play at the Mbale Municipal Stadium on Saturday.
The squad of 25 local based players has no players from Express FC, BUL and Vipers because of Uganda Cup engagement.
Goalkeeper Jack Komakech is the only Vipers player in the squad.
The team is expected to enter camp at the Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisaasi and leave for Mbale on Friday morning.
Uganda will play Rwanda twice next month and Micho will have time to make decisions on the different players involved.
Nafian Alionzi, Simon Tamale and Jack Komakech are the goalkeepers considered for the trip.
Denis Iguma, Ashraf Mandela, Innocent Wafula, Patrick Mbowa and Musa Ramathan are some of the defenders Micho has picked.
Shafik Kagimu, Julius Poloto and Joachim Ojera also made the cut in the midfield department.
Uganda has struggled to bang in the goals and Cromwell Rothomio, Steven Desse Mukwala, Jude Semugabi, Brian Aheebwa and Brian Kasirye will be assessed in Mbale.
