Kakooza happy to rejoin Express

Express head coach Wasswa Bbosa has called on another of Express' former players as he prepares for the return of football in the country.

Mahad Kakooza is the latest signing at the club and will be wearing Express colours for a second stint.

"First of all I am a fan of this great club," Kakooza revealed after his unveiling.

"My family is Express through and through so when the opportunity presented itself I couldn't turn it down," he added.

Kakooza rejoins the club from Proline FC  and has signed a two-year deal.

He is signing number eight for the Wankulukuku outfit with sights on improving their league position when the season starts.

"I am so glad and proud to be at a club where I am familiar with the environment."

Alongside Abel Eturude and Godfrey Lwesibawa, Kakooza is one of the top midfielders expected to be pivotal for the club in the coming season.

Goalkeepers Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim, centre back Richard Bbosa, midfielders Abel Eturude, Baker Sakah, Godfrey Lwesibawa and forward Mustafa Kiragga are the other signings at the club thus far.

Express finished ninth in the Startimes Uganda Premier League last season and will need to move up the table as soon as possible.
