Rugby Cranes turn focus to Tunisia

After returning back home on Monday morning, the Rugby Cranes were given a day off on Monday to return to serious business Tuesday evening.
The cast of players that didn't travel to Senegal went through their paces on Tuesday under the watchful eye of head coach John Duncan and his assistant Robert Sseguya.
The Cranes brightened their chances of challenging for this year’s title with a 17-16 victory in Dakar Saturday evening.
Their next encounter comes on July 15 against bottom of the table side Tunisia at Legends Rugby Club. While the team is quite happy with the two results picked up on the road, a draw against Kenya and the win over Senegal, the coaches believe more could have done to pick maximum points in the two encounters. A late penalty try denied the Cranes a win in Nairobi while they also failed to use their numerical advantage after Senegal were reduced to 14 men early in the second half.

Uganda, now left with three games, have the advantage with all these games set to be played on home soil.
Zimbabwe, Namibia and Tunisia will all make trips to Kampala.
Uganda are on top of the six-team log with six points after two games.
Namibia and Zimbabwe follow with five points each but the defending champions have a better points difference after their 53-7 win over Tunisia.
Kenya, Senegal and Tunisia are fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
The Cranes have risen to 38th place in the most recent World Rugby Rankings following the recent results.
The 33-all draw with highly ranked Kenya was followed by a win in Dakar which ensured Uganda move seven places in a space of seven days.
