Ugandan Rugby Cranes international Philip Wokorach has joined French side Bourges XV from Kenyan side Kabras Sugar.
The fullback completed the switch early this week and is expected to spend nine months at his new club.
The deal agreed see Wokorach playing rugby as well as being responsible for the development and marketing promotion of the club.
Wokorach has had an illustrious career since his early days coming through the ranks at Kyadondo Rugby Club, Hana Mixed School through to playing league rugby for Heathens.
After achieving everything there was at Heathens, he joined Kenyan side Kabras Sugar and has been a mainstay in the team.
In Kenya, he was a darling because of his trademark side steps and quick feet.
Wokorach had a satisfactory season in 2018/19 winning the top points and top try scorer awards and being named the Enterprise Cup Most Valuable Player.
He also helped Kabras to a second placed finish in Kenya Cup and to their first ever Enterprise Cup. He goes to France as an accomplished player who scaled the heights only a few can dream of.
The 25 year old is a full Rugby Cranes international and has featured for the Uganda Sevens at the World Cup.
"Philip comes with a rugby pedigree. We want to exploit his potential by working with him on partnerships, taking action with young people or on technical inputs. It will bring us a different look." said President Didier Angoulvant at the announcement.
Wokorach had reported back to the Kabras camp in early September after the Victoria Cup and only returned to Uganda for Safari 7s preparations with the national sevens side.
