Rugby Cranes Sevens on track

The Uganda Sevens team finished seventh in the first set of action held in Chile over the weekend.

The team managed to make the top eight and will have to maintain the pace when they return to action this weekend in Uruguay.

Uganda started the tournament with a morale boosting 24-14 win over Italy and 47-00 over Paraguay.

Germany handed Tolbert Onyango and his troops their first loss in the final group game.

The 19-12 loss, however, didn't stop the Cranes from storming the quarterfinals of the event.

Betway Kobs' Norbert Okeny scored the only try for Uganda in the quarterfinal clash with Hong Kong.
