Rugby Cranes ready to defy odds in Harare

Zimbabwe vs Uganda

After winning their first game in the Victoria Cup, the Uganda Rugby Cranes will be looking to make it two in a row when they take on the Zimbabwe Sables in Harare on Saturday.

Head coach Robert Seguya believes his side has a big chance of doing well on the road as they attempt to finish the campaign on a high.

“The team is more than ready to play for a win. We expect tough games but we have prepared for them and we are good to go,” Seguya revealed after revealing the team for the two games.

Betway Kobs players Justin Kimono, Faragi Odugo, Collins Kimbowa, Pius Ogena, Brian Asaba, Ian Munyani and Adrian Kasito all keep their places on the team.

Both Kimono and Odugo crossed the white line for the Cranes in the win over Zambia and have been rewarded for the good work.

Hooker Ronald Kanyanya, winger Paul Masendi and prop Saul Kivumbi have also returned to the team having missed the clash with Zambia.

Flank Byron Oketayot has also been named on the team having been out with injury.

Betway Kobs on course for sevens title

Locally, Betway Kobs will be looking to finish off the job in the national sevens championship.

The Kitaka Sevens, hosted by Kobs, take center stage on Saturday with Kobs topping the table and with one hand on the cup.

Finishing third will be enough for the Blue Army to seal the overall championship. The hosts are on 126 points, six ahead of second placed Black Pirates.
