Rugby Cranes coach disappointed by result in Zimbabwe

Uganda Rugby Cranes head coach Robert Seguya is a disappointed man following his team’s 32-26 loss to the Zimbabwe Sables in Harare over the weekend.

The former Cranes international was disenchanted by some of the decisions made by referee Precious Pezani on the day.

“My team outperformed Zimbabwe and I am very disappointed with the refereeing,” Seguya said after the game.

“The score is not a true reflection of the game and in my mind I think we won,” he added.
The Sables defeated Uganda for a third successive game to enhance their chances of lifting this year’s Victoria Cup.

Philip Wokorach sent in four penalties and two conversions for Uganda while Brian Asaba and Michael Wokorach crossed the white chalk.

Zimbabwe are the only unbeaten side in the Victoria Cup having defeated favourites Kenya Simbas in their first encounter.

The two sides will face off in Nairobi in what is expected to be the decider of who takes the trophy.
Uganda will now turn their attention to the next game on the calendar as they face winless Zambia in Lilongwe this weekend.

The team goes into the game as favourites having won the first leg encounter at Kyadondo 38-22.
