Red Eagles confront Busoga United threat

Express have picked up championship form over the past month winning five straight league games to keep within touching distance of the Startimes Uganda Premier League leaders.

They will be looking to continue that momentum on Tuesday evening when they travel away to Busoga United with head coach Wasswa Bbosa confident his side can pick maximum points.

"We have prepared well after winning our home game. We are going to play away from home against a team that produces some of the best talents in Uganda.

It's a stubborn team and their coach is good and has worked along with the players. We respect them.

The teams have different ambitions. They are fighting to stay in the league while we're fighting to stay in the competition for the league title," Bbosa said in his pre-match comments.

The Red Eagles are coming off a hard-fought 1-0 win over UPDF that moved them to 52 points, two short of leaders URA with Vipers on 53.

Striker Eric Kambale continued his form scoring the only goal of the game from the penalty spot to take his tally to 12 goals in the league.

Seven of those have come in the team's last four games in a sequence in which Express have scored nine goals conceding two.

They play against a Busoga team that is hovering just above the relegation places with 26 points, six ahead of Kyetume who occupy the third and final relegation spot.

They have picked three points from their previous four games with the last being a 3-0 drubbing by another relegation-threatened side Myda last week.
