The Red Devils were controversially denied a goal before coming from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 last time out. Victory, a fourth on the spin, moved United within 11 points of league leaders Manchester City and extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches.

“Character again. When you get the injustice and adversity, that decision [to disallow the goal] is just shocking and to come together," said United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"Yeah, we lost our focus for maybe a few moments and minutes and unfortunately conceded a goal. But we came together and composed ourselves. We went there as a team on a mission, we looked like a team on a mission, that this is not going to derail our season.”

Burnley have lost their last two matches following a 2-1 loss at home to Newcastle United. As a result, the Clarets remain in the relegation fight - seven points above the drop zone.

A solitary strike from Paul Pogba helped United to a 1-0 win over Burnley in the reverse fixture at Turf Moor earlier this season.
