Bossa positive as Express search for first win goes to Jinja

The search for a first league win for reigning Uganda Premier League champions Express continues on Tuesday when they travel to Jinja to play Bul.

The Betway sponsored side have made a slow start to the season after losing their opening two games 2-0 to Arua Hill before Saturday's 1-0 reverse away to UPDF.

But head coach Wasswa Bbosa who serves the second of his three-match touchline ban is confident his side can stem the rot.

“Tomorrow we return to league action, we know we’ve lost two straight league games but in both losses our problem has been the failure to convert chances," Bbosa noted ahead of the game.

"We create but don’t score so we’ve used the little time we had since Saturday to perfect that so tomorrow against BUL FC we hope to return to winning ways," he added.

They play a BUL side who started their season with a 2-1 home win over Police and also recorded a surprise 1-0 win over Express in the Uganda Cup early last month.

“We have so far lost two games in a row but as league champions, we shouldn’t have such performances, tomorrow we travel to BUL FC."

"We know we lost to them in the Uganda Cup but we now know what to do, we really want the three points and we shall," Bbosa further noted.

Erick Kambale is sidelined and is not available for selection, Godfrey Lwesibawa remains unavailable due to a knee injury, captain Enock Walusimbi remains sidelined due to a hip injury. Arthur Kiggundu is available for selection. The team has no suspensions.
