Betway Kobs stars leading scoring charts in Sevens Championship

Betway Kobs are on the right track so far as they try to retain the national sevens championship.

Three wins from three circuits is the perfect start the Legends outfit were looking for.

Kobs are not only winning games, their players are among the top scorers on the charts with three circuits left on the calendar.

Captain Joseph Aredo leads the chase of the top scorer gong with 107 points.

Aredo’s kicking has been on point so far and his semifinal kick against Heathens in the Mileke Sevens at Legends is something Kobs fans will live to remember.

Adrian Kasito is third on the scoring charts with 97 points and is just behind Heathens’ Nobert Okeny who has 100 points.

Edgar Kairu of Mongers has 77 points while Jinja Hippos’ Denis Etwau has garnered 75.

The Sevens championship took a two-week break to give room to the Uganda Sevens team to take part in the Safari Sevens in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Rujumba Sevens at Kings Park will come next, just before the action shifts to Kabale and finally Legends Rugby Grounds for the Coronation Sevens.

Kobs are top of the log on 66 points while Pirates come second with 55 points. Third-placed Heathens have 53 points.
