Bologna will take on Napoli in an Italian Serie A match at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on November 8.
The Red and Blues edged out Cagliari 3-2 at home in their previous league game which was played on October 31.
The win saw Bologna return to winning ways in the league having recorded three successive defeats before facing Cagliari.
They have lost just one of their last five home matches in the competition and registered three wins and one draw.
Meanwhile, Napoli suffered a 2-0 defeat to Sassuolo at home in their previous league game which was played on November 1.
The defeat ended the Little Donkeys' two-match unbeaten run in the league having recorded two successive victories.
They have won two of their last three away games in the competition, while the other match ended in a defeat.
Gennaro Gattuso, the Napoli manager, was left rue their missed chances against Sassuolo and he says his side needs to improve.
“We had many chances, we didn’t convert them, we could’ve done more and there’s no point standing here talking about whether it was a penalty or not," Gattuso said.
"That’s the way they saw it, we have to focus on the game.
“I see my Napoli team. We’re not as sharp as we were before, but with a game every two-three days, that’s only to be expected.”
The last meeting between Bologna and Napoli in the league was on 15 July 2020.
The two teams played to a 1-1 draw in a match which was played at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
