Norwich City will face off with Manchester United in a
FA Cup quarter-final match at the Carrow Road on June 27.
The Canaries sneaked into this round after defeating fellow English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw away.
Before that, they had knocked out English Premier League outfit Burnley in another away match.
Norwich are winless in their last seven home matches in the FA Cup having registered three draws and four defeats.
Daniel Farke, the Norwich manager, is hopeful that they can cause an upset against a much-fancied United side.
“Success is no coincidence. Even when the odds are against you there is no reason to give up. We will keep going and try to make something extraordinary," Farke said.
“I don’t want to stop the feelgood factor we have, but I don’t see any danger of us being over confident or losing the ground beneath our feet.”
Meanwhile, United booked their place in this round after thrashing English Championship side Derby County 3-0 away.
Prior to that, the Red Devils had brushed aside English League One outfit Tranmere Rovers in another away match.
United are undefeated in their last three matches on the road in the competition having registered two consecutive victories and one draw.
The last time Norwich and United clashed in the FA Cup was on 30 January 1994. The Red Devils recorded a 2-0 victory over the Canaries in the fourth round proper match at the Carrow Road.
