Simmons is a player that a great team could be created around like Steph Curry did for the Golden State Warriors or Jordan for the Bulls. The 79ers may, however, not be that team. If Simmons is going to unlock his huge talent and become one of the game’s great players, he will likely need to be traded to a team that can work around them. Until then, he’ll have to be happy being the best element of an average team.

Donovan Mitchell

Arguably the best prospect on this list, Donovan Mitchell’s work at the Utah Jazz has got the attention of many. The 21-year-old shooting guard’s scoring stats have put him in an elite group with only 17 players having better his achievements in the history of the NBA. The list includes greats like Shaq and Kareem Abdul-Jaffar with 10 of the 17 having gone on to be Hall of Fame inductees. It seems then that only the largest fall from grace will stop Mitchell from taking his place among the greats.

A potentially controversial addition to this list, Brooker has struggle to raise his defensive game. The Phoenix Suns shooting guard is, however one of the most prolific young attacking players in the league. Booker became the youngest player to score more than 60 points in a game last year, a game that would see the 21-year-old score a staggering 70. In other words, if it is points on the board you’re looking for, Booker is the only choice. However, of the Never Nuggets youngster is to become one of the game’s best, he’ll need to completely transform his defensive game.
