Gennaro Gattuso, the Napoli manager, is looking forward to the new year while he also provided an update on his eye problem, having been forced to wear an eye patch in recent matches

"Playing every three days for months, in the end, you feel it in the legs and in the head. You must always have a top condition and unfortunately, we are not yet at this level," Gattuso said.

"I'm not having an easy time with my eye problem either, but I'm better and I want to react. Right now the team isn't brilliant, but we'll take this point and look forward to next year."

Meanwhile, Atalanta BC will square off with Parma Calcio at their home ground, Gewiss Stadium, in a battle between two teams which have never won the Serie A title.

The two teams will meet for the 35th time across all competitions since 1993. Both teams have recorded 12 victories each, while 10 matches ended in a draw.

The last meeting between the two teams was on 28 July 2020 and Atalanta secured a 2-1 victory in a match which took place at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Their last meeting in the league was on 27 June 2020 and Lazio overcame Fiorentina 2-1 in an encounter which was played at the Stadio Olimpico.

US Sassuolo Calcio, who have been the surprise package of the season, will host Genoa CFC at the MAPEI Stadium.

The two teams are set to meet for the 15th time across all competitions since 2014. Sassuolo boast a slight edge in this fixture as they have recorded six wins compared to Genoa's five victories, while three games ended in a draw.
