Milan & Napoli in battle for Europa League spots

AS Roma will be hoping to keep their hopes of securing a Serie A top-six finish alive when they face SPAL at Stadio Paolo Mazza on July 22.
 
The She-Wolf, who are placed fifth on the league standings, thrashed Brescia 3-0 in their last away match which was played on July 11.
 
As a result, Roma returned to winning ways on the road in the league having registered two successive defeats before facing Brescia.
 
Paulo Fonseca, the Roma manager, feels that his side is improving ahead of their next two games which are against Inter Milan and SPAL.

“I really liked the attitude of pretty much all the players," Fonseca said.

"The side is getting better physically and has a bit more strength to pressure the opposition and really impose themselves.

"You can’t press high in every single game, but I think the side is getting better from that point of view too.”

Meanwhile, Napoli, who are placed sixth on the league standings, will travel to Estadio Ennio Tardini where they will face Parma on July 22.
 
The Little Donkeys were held to a 1-1 draw by a stubborn Bologna side in their last away match which was played on July 15.
 
They are now undefeated in their last two matches on road in the league having registered one win and one draw.
 
Lastly, AC Milan, who are placed seventh on the league standings, will be away to Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium on July 21.
 
The Red and Blacks were able to hold Napoli to a 2-2 draw in their last away game which was played on July 12.
 
The draw extended Milan's unbeaten run to five matches on the road in the league having registered three wins and two draws.
