Like all sport in the country, it remains unknown when the National Basketball League will tip off.
The 12-team league was suspended March 18, two days before the scheduled start.
This followed a government a directive to stop all social gatherings as the country seeks to prevent the transmission of the spread of the Search Results Coronavirus (COVID-19.
When the league eventually takes off Betway Power coach Arnold Lando “Mchuda” thinks it might take a bit of time before his team gels.
“Physically we have not got the best out of some players,” he said after watching his team in the UCU pre-season tournament earlier this month.
“Like Brian Waters. Some have fitted in fast and others it will take some bit of time,”
For that reason, Mchuda is setting a modest target despite the club’s obvious craving for the elusive sixth National Basketball League crown.
“What I’ll say is that we must make the playoffs, then we also must make the semis that is our target so far,” added Mchuda whose team also lost at the playoff semifinal stage to UCU last season.

In the meantime however focus remains on ensuring safety for all concerned until government gives the greenlight on social gatherings.
“It will definitely affect the calendar,” Fuba president Nasser Sserunjogi said about the current situation.
“We had planned to be done by September however we shall have to reschedule the fixture and may be make team play at least two games a week.”
We shall have to play more games in a week whenever we resume. We shall also give teams some time to prepare before we resume because teams have called off their practice sessions,” Sserunjogi added.
