Modern day sport is nothing without winning and coaches have often been on the wrong end of decisions every time a team fails to succeed.
Lady Rugby Cranes Coach Edgar Lemerigar is, however, not one of those in a hurry for success.
After handling the team in two fixtures that they lost to Kenya, the tactician has pointed out the fact that women's rugby has been in limbo for the last four years and the team will need time to get to the top.
“Thi is a rebuilding process for us all, the players, coaches and managers," Coach Lemerigar revealed over the weekend.

"The fans will have to be patient with the ladies because they had not played in a while," Lemerigar added.
The losses to Kenya exposed the team's weaknesses especially the conditioning of the players as they struggled to deal with their Kenyan counterparts in both legs of the Elgon Cup.
There were however some glimpses of brilliance from the ever green Charlotte Mudoola, Samiya Ayikoru and Faith Namugga.

There are new faces on the team and these will need even more time to cope with the expectations up there.
“We are looking at using all our options. We have new faces in the team and they are pushing for numbers which is good,"
Easther Tino from the Mbale Eagles is one of such players trying to make their presence felt.

She featured against the Kenya Lionesses in the Elgon Cup and Lemerigar believes she can only get better with time.
Having gone four years without any national team action, the Lady Cranes have already played two games in a space on one month with more action yet to come their way.
A 44-13 loss to Kenya in the first leg of the Elgon Cup was followed by another 35-05 defeat in the return leg at Kyadondo last month.
Attention will now turn to the Rugby World Cup qualifiers.
The Lady Cranes will have to face neighbours Kenya Lionesses, South Africa and Madagascar in a fight for a place in the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

For a team that has been inactive for four years, positive results against better, fitter and we'll conditioned sides like Kenya and South Africa will come as a surprise.
