Kobs Aiming For Three In Three Despite Missing Stars

When Betway Kobs run onto the field of play this weekend, they will be without some of their key players - five to be exact. Joseph Aredo, James Ijongat, Ramathan Govule, Alhadji Manano and Adrian Kasiito have all been summoned to the national team and will play no further part in the national sevens championship.

The five have been pivotal in Kobs perfect start to this year's campaign and leave the side in good stead en-route to defending their title. The attention now turns to players like Keith Seruyange, Emmanuel Ecodu, Augustine Kasansula, Michael Amolo and veteran Timothy Mudoola to hold on to their lead and defend the title.

Playing at their home ground, Legends, Kobs have a chance to extend their lead on the log. "It will be tough but everyone in the team can play well and I have faith in everyone who will wear the jersey," Aredo, the team captain said ahead of the circuit. Now with 44 points after two rounds, Kobs top the log and are 6 points ahead of second placed Toyota Buffaloes.
After the Legends circuit, Kobs will take the title chase to Northern Uganda in the Gulu sevens before returning for the Makerere sevens and the final circuit at Legends.
