Kayiwa back to win with Express

Midfielder Ibrahim Kayiwa has made a return to Express FC and hopes this will be a spell off success at the club.

It is the third time Kayiwa is penning a deal with Express after stints at Vipers, Kirinya Jinja SS and Tooro United.

"I'm glad to be back at Express," Kayiwa said after his official unveiling by the club on Monday.

"For me this has always been home and like my other teammates the target is to chase silverware," he added.

Kayiwa's first spell with the Red Eagles in 2014 saw him register seven goals and 10 assists in 27 games.

He impressed Vipers who came calling and lured him to Kitende but he failed to replicate that form for his new club.

He would later join Kirinya Jinja SS (now Busoga United) before a return to Wankulukuku from where he then headed to Tooro United to reunite with Wasswa Bbosa.

"If we work hard I believe we can get the silverware we want."

The 25-year old is just one of the several signings the club has made in preparation for the start of the new season.

Goalkeepers Denis Otim and Cryspus Kusiima, centre back Richard Bbosa, midfielders Godfrey Lwesibawa, Isaac Nsengiyunva and Abel Eturude, winger Baker Sakah and forward Mustafa Kiragga are some of the new faces in the team.

The Uganda Premier League is scheduled to kickoff on 17th October 2020 but the federation and clubs must adhere to the conditions put up by government.
