Kasito confident Betway Kobs will lift Uganda Cup

After finishing second in the national sevens championship, Betway Kobs will now turn their focus to the upcoming Uganda Cup.

The Legends outfit is set to face off with Walukuba in the opener early next month in Eastern Uganda.

Utility back Adrian Kasito is confident Kobs will put up a show good enough to see them clinch the title. "It’s going to be very tough but we (Kobs) can win if we manage to sort a few issues," Kasito said Wednesday morning.

The side has been undergoing vigorous training under the watchful eye of Edmund Tumusiime at Legends. Kasito also believes the team learnt a few things from the concluded Sevens Championship and that should put them in a better position come October.

"I think guys woke up and realised they just have to work hard and believe," he said in regards to the team coming short of defending the sevens title.

Kobs victory over Black Pirates in the final of the Turf Rugby Floodlights sevens at Kyadondo further enhanced the team's hunger for success.

"That victory kind of reunited us all and now everyone wants to win. We’ll be back to winning ways."
Kobs lost to Pirates at the semifinal stage last year as the Sea Robbers went on to win only their second Uganda Cup trophy.

Kobs are still sorting a few transfers before the start of the Uganda Cup and will be hoping to improve especially their forwards department.
