Kambale ready to get going again

After managing just one goal last season, Eric Kambale is ready to re-evaluate himself and get back to top form.

The Express FC number nine missed the big part of last season after going AWOL at the club.

“It’s been start-stop for me, I missed the first round of last season because of personal reasons and that set me back a bit," he told the club website in a recent interview.

"I know I have to work hard to earn coach Bossa’s trust ahead of next season” Kambale admitted.

With Bossa trying to rebuild the team, Kambale is one of those expected to stay with the club.

He will, however, have to earn his place on the team with other forwards like Frank Kalanda and Frank Ssenyondo already justifying their playing time.

The striker has been a key part of the Express attack before and knows the pressure that comes with it.

In the 2018/19 season, the 20 year old had nailed his starting place under Kefa Kisala but Kalanda pounced to take that spot and score eleven league goals for the club.

Kambale won himself fans when he scored in Express FC’s 3-2 win over KCCA FC ending the latter’s unbeaten run on December 11, 2018.

Express collected 31 points from 25 games to finish ninth last season and will need Kambale's goals to move up the table next season.
