Kambale leads Express trio into new-look Cranes squad


A new dawn was anticipated following the Cranes failed 2021 Afcon qualification campaign with captain Dennis Onyango among the senior players to announce his retirement.
 
Consequently, coaches Abdallah Mubiru and Livingston Mbabazi announced a number of new names as the Cranes prepare to play a friendly game against South Africa on June 10.
 
Among them are Express trio of experienced defender Murushid Jjuuko while there could also be senior debuts for live-wire striker Eric Kambale and captain Enock Walusimbi.
 
The three were among a squad of 34 players summoned that includes several domestic league players.
 
Kambale who is of Congolese descent has been in fine form scoring 15 times in the league and with 10 of those coming in the past six games for the table-topping Red Eagles.
