Juventus will target another three-point haul in the league when they host Hellas Verona in Turin on Sunday 25 October 2020, kick-off at 22:45. The match is one of 10 in Round 5 of the 2020-21 Serie A season spread over 24-26 October 2020.

Juve recorded a second draw in Serie A when they were held 1-1 at Crotone last weekend, with Alvaro Morata cancelling out Simeon Nwankwo’s opener, though the ‘Old Lady’ ended the match with 10 men after a red card for Federico Chiesa.

“We went down for the second game in a row. We strive, we put determination and courage, but we must be better at the start,” said Morata. “We need determination when we have something against us. It’s all about playing and winning. As the team plays, it’s all about bringing home points. We did not, we must train and work".

Verona were held 0-0 by Genoa on Monday night, continuing a generally positive start to the season for the Gialloblu, who sit comfortably inside the top half of the table heading into this clash.

"I’m satisfied with the performance, I think we made a good match,” coach Ivan Juric said. “We had 14 corners, [Mattia] Perin made great saves. We missed the winning shot. Today there were only two starters from the team of the last season. There were some guys born in 2000 and 2001, they have talent but our goal is to survive, become tough and improve. I’m not complaining [for having young players].”

In head-to-head stats, Juventus and Verona have met in 21 matches across all competitions. The Bianconeri have claimed 15 wins compared to just three for the Gialloblu, while three games have been drawn.

The teams’ two Serie A clashes last season saw Juve win 2-1 at the Allianz Stadium in September 2019, but Verona claimed a shock 2-1 triumph in the reverse fixture at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi in February 2020.
