Yamaha rider Maverick Vinales will be determined to successfully retain his
Dutch MotoGP title at the TT Circuit Assen on June 27.
The Spanish star won the last Dutch MotoGP event which took place in 2019 and the race was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19.
Vinales finished 19th in the most recent race in the 2021 MotoGP World Championship season which was the German MotoGP on June 20.

Honda rider Marc Marquez won the German MotoGP title for the eighth time in a row as he continued his dominance in Germany.
KTM rider Miguel Oliveira and Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo finished second and third respectively following a memorable race.
Quartararo is still sitting at the top of the Riders' standings, while the Ducati duo of Johann Zarco and Jack Miller are placed second and third respectively on the table.
Vinales remains sixth on the standings and he will move into the top five if he wins this weekend's race.

The 26-year-old says “no-one has answers” to the form which led to his worst-ever MotoGP race weekend, after finishing the German Grand Prix in last place.
“I have the same question as you, so I cannot answer. Nobody has answered to me, so I cannot answer," Vinales said.
“I take like 15 laps behind [Luca] Marini and [Enea] Bastianini. “I could not pass them, it was impossible with this bike. So, I prepared really well the downhill, they have more power, can brake later.
“So, with this bike it’s impossible. When I arrived to Franco [Morbidelli] I could overtake quite good, just in the first try I overtake. But on another Yamaha it’s much easier, but with the Ducatis it’s so hard."
Yamaha are placed at the top of Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Ducati and KTM respectively.
