Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has announced a team of 12 players to complete the qualification round of the 2021 FIBA Afrobasket.
The last two games of the qualifiers will see Uganda battle it out with Morocco and Cape Verde to book a slot at the finals.
The Silverbacks needed one win from round two of the qualifiers held in February but their participation hit a dead end due to several Covid-19 cases in their camp.
The team was kicked out of the bubble in Tunisia and had their games postponed.
Egypt have already qualified for the finals having defeated every team in Group E and will excuse themselves from their second fixture with Uganda.
Uganda, Morocco and Cape Verde are fighting for the two remaining slots to the finals.
A win for the Silverbacks in Rabat on July 8th will be enough to confirm qualification but defeat would mean a trip to Cape Verde for the last game.
Coaches George Galanapolous and Mandy Jutuni have made some changes to the team that was in Tunisia and have included two new faces.
Guard Keiran Zziwa of University of Manitoba Bistons and National Mohamed Ghedi Abdihakim are the new inclusions.
Joseph Ikong, Ceaser Kizito and Fayed Bbale have been dropped.
Five locally based players will join seven from across the world in a 10-day camp in Morocco before the game.
The team is set to travel to Morocco on Saturday or Sunday.
