Matchday 2
16-19 June

Russia are scheduled to take on Denmark in their second UEFA EURO 2020 Group B game at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg on June 16.

This will be the fifth clash between the two teams across all competitions and Russia have dominated this rivalry.

Russia have won all four of their previous matches against Finland.

They emerged 3-0 winners over Finland in their last meeting which was the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier which was played at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium in June 2009.

Stanislav Cherchesov, the Ukraine head coach, says they will have to find a way to secure a win when they face Denmark after losing 3-0 to Belgium in their Group B opener on June 12.

"We are still in the tournament. We chose our system, which worked partially but then started to break down," Cherchesov said.

"The Belgians scored and then it was difficult to get the ball off them. We would have wanted a better match, both in terms of result and performance.

"We will get out of the situation. We put ourselves there, so now we must find a way out."

Meanwhile, Denmark will face off with Belgium in their second Group B match at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on June 17.

Belgium have the edge over Denmark with the two teams having met eight times across all competitions.

They have registered four victories compared to Denmark's three wins, while one match ended in a stalemate.

Their last meeting ended in a 4-2 win in favour of Belgium in the UEFA Nations League game that took place at the King Power at Den Dreef Stadion in Heverlee in November 2020.

Belgium began their Group B campaign with a 3-0 win over Russia on June 12.
