Kambale, Bbosa named May's best

Striker Eric Kambale has been in fine form throughout the season and his sweat is paying off on and off the pitch.

The forward was named the best player in the Uganda Premier League for May.

In an event held on Monday morning at Kati Kati Restaurant, Kambale received his award that comes with Shs. 1M from Pilsner Larger.

Kambale beat off competition from URA FC’s Steven Mukwala and Wakiso Giant’s Viane Ssekajugo.

He managed eight goals in five games in May.
A hat-trick against Kyetume, a brace against Kitara and one against Busoga United, UPDF FC and Police FC are the goals that gave Kambale the edge.

Alongside Kambale was his head coach Wasswa Bbosa who was named the Coach of the month ahead of URA’s Sam Simbwa and Wakiso Giant’s Douglas Bamweyana.

Out of the five league games played in May, Bbosa led his charges to victory in every single one to go top of the league log.

Striker Samuel Ssekamate and coach Baker Mbowa of Bright Stars have crowned the player and coach of April at the same function.
