Arua Hill, Tooro United promoted to UPL

Arua Hill and Tooro United are the two Big League sides to earn direct promotion to the Uganda Premier League after the regular season.

The two sides confirmed their promotion with victories on Sunday.
West Nile's Arua Hill defeated Paidha Black Angels 4-0 to announce their arrival at the table of men.

Rashid Kawawa got a brace while Gadaffi Gardinho and Ceaser Okhuti added one each for the Arua outfit as they outclassed Paidha to end the season unbeaten.

From the 14 games played, Arua Hill won eight matches and recorded six draws to top the Elgon group with 30 points.

From the Rwenzori group, Tooro United needed a Marvin Oshaba goal to overcome Kigezi Home Boyz and confirm their promotion.

Oshaba converted a penalty in the 27th minute and that was enough for Edward Golola's charges.

The third club will be determined via a promotional playoff involving Gaddafi, Blacks Power, Proline and Nyamityobora.

Gaddafi will face Nyamityobora while Blacks Power play Proline in the semi-final on a date yet to be confirmed.

The winner from the final playoff will earn the last spot to the top flight.

Arua Hill and Tooro United will face off in the final to decide the Big League winner.
