Patrick Cantley will be determined to win his first golf major by clinching the
2021 Open Championship at Royal St George's Golf Club.
The American golfer has won four times on the PGA Tour and he is currently sitting at the top of the FedExCup standings.
His four wins on the PGA Tour came at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in 2017, the Memorial Tournament in 2019 and 2021, and the Zozo Championship in 2020.

At The American Express in January 2021, Cantlay made the halfway cut on the number and he was eventually edged out by a single stroke by Kim Si-woo.
However, the 29-year-old won the Memorial Tournament for a second time in June 2021 after he beat Collin Morikawa in a playoff.

His best career finish at the Open was a T-12 in 2018 which took place at Carnoustie Golf Links in Angus, Scotland.
Cantlay's best career finish in a major golf tournament came at the 2019 PGA Championship when he finished tied for third place behind winner, Brooks Koepka.

Cantlay was pleased to have ended his eight-month trophy drought by winning last month's Memorial Tournament.
"Somehow I always feel like I badly need a win and a win will make things just a little bit better," Cantlay said.
"The last few months have not been the best golf I've played and the interesting thing is when I think about it, I always felt maybe a little closer than the result."
Harry Vardon is the most decorated player in the history of The Open Championship having won six titles, while South Africa's Ernie Els has won the tournament twice.
